today definitely didn’t go as planned… but it gave me 2 big takeaways from the trip:

1. trusting your gut is always the right decision (if your body is even slightly telling you something, listen to it especially when you go solo)
2. the goal wasn’t to have everything go as planned. it was to put myself out of my comfort zone, try something new, and test what i think im capable of

& those two things i accomplished (along with many miles along the Appalachian Trail) and i couldn’t be more proud of myself 🥹🥹

day 1 solo backpacking the appalachian trail 🥾 this is my first time ever solo backpacking.. so today i had a lot of firsts!! first time setting up a tent by myself, first time using a portable stove and cooking dinner in the woods, first time sleeping in a tent in the middle of the woods, alone…

ill be hiking along the trail for the next 3 days/2 nights! today i went about 3.7 miles to spend the night at fingerboard shelter, a highlight was getting to go thru the lemon squeezer (almost got stuck in it with my giant backpack😂) excited to share a recap of the whole day tomorrow.. stay tuned!!

my perfect solo morning/afternoon in Minneapolis🍒⤵️

it’s been awhile since i played tourist here and it reminded me how underrated i feel the city is and how much i love it!!! biased or not, i feel people are sleeping on minneapolis & it’s such a fun and unique US trip :)

did you know minneapolis is like this? another visit home that reminded me how underrated this city is!! it’s artsy, there’s beautiful nature, great coffee and food… shall i go on or have i already convinced you ?😜 what was your impression of minnesota?

from campervanning iceland back to city life🤍 when im not traveling i’ve been trying to build a community in new york and go out of my comfort zone more. with how much i travel it’s difficult to build a full social life here but im trying my best :’)

another thing ive been loving and picking up as a side hobby while i’m home is my background acting! i’ve been on some huge, incredible sets recently and it still feels pretty surreal. its really proved to myself that you can do anything if you go out of your comfort zone & just try!

and at the end of the day what really matters is that you love yourself and you’re comfortable enough in your own skin that doing all these things on your own is enough (and if a man -hi nate- or a friend happens to come along that adds to it then that’s just a bonus :)

not gonna lie one of the main reasons i chose iceland in the summer is in hopes to see these little cuties and oh boy did i see them!!

they are so freakin cute and so unique because they float in the middle of the ocean most of the year and only come to land for a few months to nest! so seeing them felt like a such special experience :) an absolute bucket list experience!!

four days ago i booked a spontaneous solo trip to iceland… so much had happened in those past 4 days and the main takeaway for me is that im SO PROUD of myself🥹

last day (day 4) solo campervanning iceland was the day i’ve been waiting for…. the day i finally saw what i came here for..

PUFFINS🐧🥹😭 i drove from vik back to reykjavik since i fly out tomorrow, and stopped at some iconic spots along the way, ending at @skylagooniceland an absolutely gorgggg hot springs in reykjavik (better than blue lagoon tbh)

but the puffins is what made my trip and it even exceeded my expectations because i couldnt believe how close up i was able to get!! eeeeeek!!!

well, iceland… you were everything and more. this isn’t goodbye, just until i find another cheap flight ;) 💕
